History
In 1883, in England the
Casuals Amateur Football Club was founded. Its crowning achievement was the 1 X 1 draw against Crystal Palace in its first game, and its 2 X 0 victory in its second.
The Corinthians Club, founded in 1882 in
Surrey, England, earned a name for itself when nine of its players were called up to
the England Team playing against Scotland, with a 1 X 1 draw in 1886.
In 1894 and 1895, eleven players represented the Club in two games against Wales.
After years of negotiating, the two clubs joined forces and the Corinthian Casuals
was born. During World War II, the Club played several friendly matches against English
soldiers, despite the risk of German bombs falling close to the soccer fields. To this
day, Corinthian Casuals is an amateur team and its aim is to give of its best and to the
bitter end in its mission to please the spectators, despite not being a premier team.
The name of Casual Auditores Independentes
was inspired by the Casuals. Firstly, since it strives to the utmost to meet client
expectations and, secondly, because it began as an audit firm specializing in soccer.
